In the context of our advanced ERC grant “The Greenhouse Earth System” (Pancost, Lunt, Valdes, Buss, Naafs and others) we are organizing a two-day workshop at the M-shed (https://www.bristolmuseums.org.uk/m-shed/) in the heart of Bristol on Monday the 22nd and Tuesday the 23rd of May 2017.
The aim of the workshop is to explore and discuss our current understanding of how terrestrial climate and biogeochemical processes in their broadest sense operate during greenhouse climates. Examples include but are not limited to; wetland methane cycling, the terrestrial hydrological cycle, terrestrial feedback mechanisms such as weathering and nutrient input to the open ocean, etc. We want to emphasize that although the focus is on the terrestrial realm, a key component is to better understand how changes in the terrestrial realm (might have) affected the marine realm and marine ecosystems.
The program can be found here.
We look forward to seeing you in Bristol in May.
